Fallen Comrade Ceremony for Veterans and First Responders

A special ceremony for Veterans and First Responders honoring those who survived and carry the burden of the losses they have sustained.  This ceremony is a collaboration among Opus Peace, Samaritan Hospice, Voorhees Township, and the Voorhees Town Center.

Memorial Dat honors those who died in military service.  The Fallen Comrade Ceremony honors those who survived.  Based on a Native-American warrior welcoming-home ritual, the Fallen Comrade ceremony restores hope for healing the soul injury often carried by Veterans and First Responders who serve in dangerous-duty assignments.

Safe Sanctuary is provided for Veterans and First Responders to mourn the losses they have sustained, such as:  comrades who died in battle, loss of physical/mental health, loss of the self they had prior to the trauma, assault that occurred within their own ranks, or an unfair administrative action.
