October 13, 2019
North Terrace Church of Christ, 1420 Brandywine Blvd , Zanesville, Ohio 43701
On Sunday, October 13 at 1:00 PM, a Fallen Comrade Ceremony will take place at North Terrace Church of Christ located at 1420 Brandywine Blvd in Zanesville, Ohio 43701. Admission is free and open to the public.
The program is designed for Veterans, their families and civilians to help them lay their burdens down. The Fallen Comrade Ceremony honors survivors who carry the burden of their comrades’ memory. Based on Native-American warrior welcoming-home rituals, the ceremony restores hope for healing the Soul Injury® that those who serve in dangerous-duty assignments often carry. As part of the program. Becky Joseph, RN, CHPN/Leadership Ambassador with Opus Peace will share how liberating unmourned loss and unforgiven guilt/shame can help heal the wounds of war, trauma, and violence.
Opus Peace is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to provide educational programs to healthcare providers and others that help people reckon with the unassessed wound of Soul Injury®.
