On Friday, March 29 at 7:00 PM, Pana Community Hospital and the Quad County Hospice Program will host a Fallen Comrade Ceremony at Pana First United Methodist Church located at 619 Kitchell Avenue, Pana, IL 62557. Admission is free and open to the public.
The program is designed for Veterans and First Responders, their families and civilians to help them lay their burdens down. The Fallen Comrade Ceremony honors survivors who carry the burden of their comrades’ memory. Based on Native-American warrior welcoming-home rituals, the ceremony restores hope for healing the Soul Injury® that Veterans and First Responders who serve in dangerous-duty assignments often carry. Angela Sipe, M.J., CHPCA and Executive Director with Opus Peace will introduce Soul Injury® and what the organization, Opus Peace does to help people heal from it.
